The holidays are all about giving to others, and CA Lottery shows that a small gift like a Scratchers ticket can be meaningful. This campaign encouraged Californians to remember the casual acquaintances in their lives that might be forgotten during the holiday season by spreading a little cheer with an unexpected gift.

We created Youtube and Hulu pre-rolls that played with the “skip” button. We had all our messaging happen in the first 5 seconds leaving the next 10 to poke fun at the viewer still watching. The added bonus was that if viewers only watched the first 5 seconds, California Lottery would not have to pay for that view!
